Giliran Pelaburan Buy Barrel di Semak

SOALAN

Assalamualaikum Ustaz Zaharuddin.

Isu Pertama : Keterlibatan Dalam Pasaran Matawang

iaitu disebutkan di webnya bahawa

Who manages the funds?
You can rest assured that the funds are managed by a team of professionals of high calibre and knowledgeable about current trend of the oil trading and foreign currency trading industry.

Respond :

Cuba anda lihat apa pelaburannya ?

1. Oil trading - inshaAllah ok dari sudut hukumnya

"Buyebarrel is fully dedicated to each and every of its members by ensuring their investments are handled by diligent and highly experienced professionals using the most high tech trading tools and mechanism available in the market today."

http://www.zaharuddin.net/v1/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=157&Itemid=72

What if I have forgotten my password?
Please send a message to our customer support on "Contact Us" page. Your message should include your user name, nick name, email address and identification number. Our customer service will check and contact you.

Isu Ketiga : Isu Seperti Jaminan Untung

Disebut juga dalam web buy barrel

We also provide a team of highly trained and experienced customer support group to attend to all your queries in every aspect of your investment promptly. Buyebarrel gives you the assurance of a peace of mind while your money is multiply.

Sesebuah pelaburan Islam tidak boleh memberi sebarang 'assurance' your money is multiply.

Mp3 Players And Your Hearing Health

So many people are using mp3 players and iPods on an everyday basis more and more. This rising trend attracts all people who like to listen to non-stop music on the bus, in the car, while working out or just while relaxing at home. While there have been many studies on the positive effects music can have on a person, having small earphones stuffed in your ears while playing loud music can be detrimental to your hearing. Studies have shown that using small earpieces that are inserted inside of the ear creates a sound that is nine decibels higher than that of regular headphones that cover the whole ear. Nine decibels may not sound like a lot, but to put it in perspective it is about the same difference of an alarm clock to a lawn mower. It is also important to note that the type of earphones that fit inside the ear are less effective at blocking out background noises, giving the listener more incentive to turn up the volume. While no one can be sure what the average volume mp3 listeners are cranking their volumes to, a recent study compiled in Australia showed that a quarter of the listeners between the ages of 18 and 54 are listening to music at levels that could potentially cause long term hearing loss.

High levels of music produced by mp3 technology can cause hearing loss because the sound waves damage the hair cells in the cochlea; a part of the ear which transmits sound information to your brain. Any sound higher than 90 decibels can cause long term hearing loss if the sound is prolonged, and most mp3 players have the technological capabilities of reaching 120 decibels. That is equivalent to an ambulance siren.

You can’t measure the decibel level of your mp3 player, but you might be listening to your music too loud if your player is over 60% of the maximum volume, you can’t hear conversations that are happening around you, other people can hear your music, or you find yourself yelling or talking loudly to people nearby.

There is no need to stop using your mp3 player, and most people wouldn’t anyways, considering the great joys they get out of the technology, but there are ways you can ensure your hearing is healthy. Just follow the steps above and you will be sure to have excellent ear health as well as pleasurable non-stop music technology for many years to come.

Four Companies Win WiMax Licences

KUALA LUMPUR, March 16 (Bernama) -- Four companies -- Bizsurf (M) Sdn Bhd, MIB Comm Sdn Bhd, Asiaspace Dotcom Sdn Bhd and Redtone-CNX Broadband Sdn Bhd -- have won the 2.3GHz broadband wireless access spectrum or WiMax licences.

The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) announced Friday that all the licences, except that of Redtone-CNX, would cover areas in Peninsular Malaysia.

Redtone-CNX has been awarded the licence to operate in Sabah and Sarawak.

Bizsurf is a unit of YTL e-Solutions while MIB Comm is owned by Green Packet Bhd.

The MCMC said all the winners are expected to quickly roll out the service to 25 percent of the population in the area given to them by end of this year, with a service provision of at least 1MBps at affordable rates.

"At the end of third year, it is expected that they will be able to roll services to at least 40 percent of the population in the areas given to them," it said in a statement.

Each of the companies is expected to invest between RM250 million and RM300 million in the first three years of the WiMax implementation.

According to the MCMC, the evaluation of applicants for the licences took into consideration several factors, including the multiple technology strategy that will be used in expanding broadband, which is fixed line (fibre to the home), wireless broadband as well as 3G High Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA).

Another factor was the wireless broadband spectrum on 2.3GHz, 2.5GHz and 3.4GHz that have been allocated to last-mile operators (small and medium enterprises or SMEs) in the past few years.

The evaluation also took into consideration that 2.3GHz similar to 2.5GHz and 3.4GHz is designated more for SMEs, the commission said.

The MCMC said the roll-out of the 2.3GHz band will complement the implementation of the MyICMS 886 strategy whereby it is targeted that broadband penetration reaches 75 percent of households by 2010.

"The MCMC hopes that the provision of lines by way of wireless technology, which is faster and more affordable, would assist in meeting the targets of the MyICMS 886 strategy," it said.

According to the commission, the roll-out of WiMax service will also support secured and reliable networks compared to the use of WiFi (wireless fidelity).

"As consumers are demanding more reliability and availability, service providers have to use spectrums that can give bandwidth and speed," it said

WiMax, which stands for Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access, is described as a "standards-based technology enabling the delivery of last-mile wireless broadband access as an alternative to cable and DSL (direct subscriber line)".

While it allows for triple play (voice, video and Internet), it is expected to include quad play as well (voice, video, Internet and mobility).

WiMax enables deliverables of bandwidth between two points or between a point to multipoint to consumer.

The usage of WiMax requires certain bandwith of spectrum to be allocated to the service provider, in accordance to the channelling plan approved by MCMC.

make money online

We all heard about making money online. The question is how do you rely start making money online today. I am going to share with you on how you can start making money online without having a website, not knowing anything about web design, and not spending much money. That is right you do not have to have any knowledge of HTML code. All you have to know is how to type. There are hundreds of courses on the internet charging you hundreds of dollar for the information I am about to share with you. Do not spend any money on any online marketing tools until you read this.

The one way to take advantage of Google AdWords is to become affiliate. Affiliate marketing is where someone advertises for another website and in return that person receives commission for each sale their advertising brigs to that website. Here's an example: Let's say I want to sell Laptop Computers, but I don't have a website and/or I don't have any computers to sell. Well instead of starting a company, I can just find a company online which already sells computers and offers an affiliate program. Now that I have searched and found a company, I look at what they offer. Let's say they are giving 10% commission on every sale I make. I decide to use that company and I set up my affiliate account with them and they give me a special URL (a web address that will let the company know that it was my advertising which gave them the sale), which I use in my advertisements. Now I make ad advertisement, and display it on Google. Whenever someone sees and clicks on my advertisement it will go to the company's webpage. Let's say that one hundred people clicked on my text advertisement and one of them buys a computer that cost $1,200. Because that person who bought the computer clicked on my advertisement that company will give me 10% of $1,200 which means that I made $120.00

Most online companies offer affiliate program. Companies like Best Buy, Circuit City, Office Max, Amazon.com, Buy.com and many more, literally tens of thousands. There are also companies online which all they do is offer other online business a way to have an affiliate program. These affiliate Companies manage affiliate programs for thousands of online companies. This means that if you have an account with Affiliate Company (they are completely free), you can advertise for any of the thousands of companies that use them to manage their affiliate sales. If you want to, you can search Google for affiliate programs just to see how big online marketing currently is.

By using AdWords and high paying affiliate program you can start earning money today. The AdWords advertisements are Pay Per Click (PPC), which means that the owner of that advertisement pays Google every time someone clicks on their advertisement. The main reason for wanting to pay for traffic is because it is very very difficult to receive free traffic on Google. When you sign up for Google AdWords Pay Per Click advertising your advertisement will be displayed almost immediately in Google's search results (usually within 5 minutes). You can also decide which page you want your advertisements to be displayed on ( the first page receives more visitors than the other pages).

It is very simple to start Google AdWords account. Go to www.google.com and look toward the bottom of the page. You will see a link says "Advertising Programs". Once you there, you should click on the link which says Google AdWords. After clicking "Click to Begin", you will be taken to a couple of pages which will ask you how you want to set up your advertising group(s) with Google. Google will send you an email to the email address you specified which will contain a URL that you will need to go to in order to activate your account. After you go to that URL you can log into Google AdWords using your email address as your user name. Now that you have an account set up, you are ready to learn how to create a Campaign so you can begin making money online.

Here is how to create a AdWords campaign in Google. First off to create a new keyword campaign, click the link" Keyword-Targeted" campaign. You will be prompted to name your campaign. Your campaign name is what will be displayed on the first screen when you log into your Google AdWords account. Since you will most likely have several campaigns, when you name your campaign you will want to make sure it is unique name that will let you know exactly what you are advertising in that campaign. Next you will need to name your AdGroup. Remember, you will have several different AdGroups with one Campaign, so name it something that will help you know exactly what keywords are in that AdGroup. Next, you should choose the area(s) where you want your ads to appear. There are three different ways to choose where you want to advertise. You can choose to advertise by Countries and Territories, Regions and Cities, or Customized.

The most important thing you need in order to have a successful Google campaign is a text ad with a high CTR. Text Ads with a high CTR will increase your Quality Score which will increase your overall position.

Things You Should Know:

1. You are not required to have "http:" or "www" in your display URL.

2. Google will not let you capitalize all the letters in all your words, but they
will let you capitalize most of your words.

3. The website must not require additional software to load (example: it
cannot be a .pdf instead of .htm).

4. Back button must be able to go back to Google with one click.

5. You can't have websites that mirror other websites that are advertised for
the same keyword (example: having the same pictures and text but using
a different web address). I know many affiliates do this, but I don't know
how much Google enforces this rule.

6. The website you are advertising cannot have a pop up or pup under ad.

Another key to having a successful online business is making sure that every single person who is even the slightest bit interested in your product sees your advertisement. The best way to do this is by creating a very huge keyword list (thousands of keywords). Some products have many keywords, while others have very few. Usually the more keywords there are available for the product, the better. Not because it is searched more often, but also because most people who are also selling the same product will only select a few general keywords which may be very broad keywords.

When you bid on Google, you will not always pay the price you enter. The price you enter is the MCPC (Maximum Cost Per Click) you are willing to pay for that keyword. Google constantly updating the bids for the keywords in their search engine. For example if your MCPC is $0.15 and the advertiser in front of you is bidding $0.16 and the Ad one position behind you is bidding $0.05, you will only pay $0.06 per click, because there is no reason why you should have to pay $0.15 per click if you can get the same Ad position for $0.06 per click.

Google is a most searched search engine on the internet and with that they are consistently making update and improvement. If you are really serious about making money online or promotion you current business I will make a recommendation that will make you an absolute pro on AdWords. I've spend thousands trying to research best possible ways to market in the internet.

Making An RSS Feed - Article from Search Engine Watch

RSS is a method of distributing links to content in your web site that
you'd like others to use. In other words, it's a mechanism to "syndicate" your
content.

To understand syndication, consider the "real world"
situation where artist Scott Adams draws a daily
Dilbert cartoon. The cartoon is made
available to any newspaper that cares to run it, in exchange for a fee -- and
2,000 papers in 65 countries do so.

Unlike Scott Adams, syndication of web content via RSS is
unlikely to make you rich. However, it can be an easy way to draw attention to
your material, bringing you some traffic and perhaps a little net fame,
depending on how good your information is.

What Is RSS?

How does RSS syndication work? Say you publish a new web page about a particular topic. You want
others interested in that topic to know about it. By listing the page as an
"item" in your RSS file, you can have the page appear in front of those who read
information using RSS readers or "news aggregators" (explained more in
my sidebar article, RSS: Your Gateway To News & Blog Content). RSS also allows people to easily
add links to your content within their own web pages. Bloggers are a huge core
audience that especially does this.

What does RSS stand for? There's a can of worms. RSS as
introduced by Netscape in 1999 then later abandoned in 2001 stood for "Rich Site Summary." Another version of RSS pioneered
by UserLand Software stands for "Really Simple Syndication."
In yet another version, RSS stands for "RDF Site Summary."

History buffs might be interested that there's been some
rivalry over who invented RSS. This is why we have both different names and
indeed different "flavors" or versions of RSS. Mark Pilgrim's written an
excellent article,
What Is RSS,
that charts the different versions with recommendations on which to use. I'll
also revisit the version choice you'll need to make. But first, let's look more
closely at some basics of what goes into any RSS file.

How Easy Is RSS?
I've been exploring RSS because it was time that Search
Engine Watch offered its own stories in this manner. I've read several tutorials
about making a feed, and they generally suggest that it is easy. They often
offer code that you can "cut-and-paste" and link over to specifications that I
actually don't find that clear.

For example, the RSS 2.0 specification has an "cloud" element that's optional but which a lay
person might still wonder if they should use it. Meanwhile, heaven help the
person who stumbles into the
RSS 1.0 specification and its
complicated RDF syntax.

Sure, making an RSS file IS easy for many. If you
understand HTML, you'll probably understand enough to do a cut-and-paste from
someone else's RSS file to make your own file. Don't know HTML? Start a blog,
because several blogging tools automatically generates RSS files.

As for those non-technical people using WYSIWYG page building tools or personal home page building systems,
have faith. Even you can build an RSS file from scratch, as long as you dispense with some of the extra features you
probably don't need. We'll go through
how to do this below. Later, I'll also mention some
tools that will even do some or all of the work for you.

The RSS File
At the heart of an RSS file are "items." No matter what
version of RSS you settle on, your file will have to include at least one item. Items are
generally web pages that you'd like others to link to. For example, let's say
you just created a web page reviewing a new cell phone that's being released.
Information about that page would form an item.

To enter your item into the RSS file, you'll need three bits of information:

Title
Description
Link

The title and description of your item need not match exactly the HTML
title tag of the web page that the item refers to, nor the meta description tag, assuming you use these
(don't know what they are? See my How To Use HTML Tags
article). You can write any title and description that you think will describe
the page. However, using your page's title and meta description tag certainly makes it
easy to copy and paste to build your RSS feed.

In the case of our example page, let's say this is the
information we settle on to define it as an item:

Nokia 3650 Combines
Phone And PhotosI've been playing with the new Nokia 3650. Finally, someone has got the
combination of a cell phone with digital camera capabilities right!

http://allgadgetsreviewed.com/nokia3650.html
Now we have to surround that information with XML tags.
These are similar to HTML tags, with the exception that unlike with HTML,
there's no set definition of XML tags. Anyone can make up a particular
XML tag. Whether it is useful depends on the program that reads the resulting
XML file. In the case of RSS feeds, they have their own unique set of XML tags
that are defined. Use these correctly, and then anything that reads RSS will
understand your information.

Did that make your head spin? If so, don't reread -- just
carry on to see how simple it is. First, open a text editor like Notepad. We're going
to build our RSS file using it.

For
your title, you need to start it with the
tag, then follow this with the
text of the title, then end with the
tag. It looks like this:

Nokia 3650
Combines Phone And Photos

For your description, you do the same, starting out with
the opening
tag, then following with the actual description, then
"closing" with the
tag. Now you have this:

Nokia 3650
Combines Phone And Photos

I've been playing with the new Nokia 3650. Finally, someone has got
the combination of a cell phone with digital camera capabilities
right!

Next, we add the link information, beginning with
. That gives us
this:

Nokia 3650
Combines Phone And Photos

I've been playing with the new Nokia 3650. Finally, someone has got
the combination of a cell phone with digital camera capabilities
right!

Now there's one more thing we need to do. We actually have
to define all this information as forming a particular "item," which we do using
a special item tag.

You place the opening item tag,
at the top or start
of all the information we've listed. You then place the closing item tag,

, at the bottom or "end" of the item information. The finished product
looks like this:

Nokia 3650 Combines Phone And Photos

I've been playing with the new Nokia 3650. Finally, someone has got
the combination of a cell phone with digital camera capabilities
right!

Congratulations! You've now made your first item. There's
a bit more to do to finish our RSS file. First, what if we have other items we
want to syndicate? Then we simply add more item elements, just as we did above.
You can have up to 15 items. New items tend to be inserted at the top, with old items removed from
the bottom, to make room for new stuff.

With our example, let's see how things look if we add two
more items:

Nokia 3650 Combines Phone And Photos

I've been playing with the new Nokia 3650. Finally, someone has got
the combination of a cell phone with digital camera capabilities
right!

Sanyo Tablet PC Amazes!

I was dubious about the new Tablet PCs, but then I saw the latest
from Sanyo. Wow, cool looks and it works!

Canon MegaTiny Digital Camera Too Small

OK, there is a limit to just how small is too small. Canon's
MetaTiny, no larger than a quarter, simply is too little to use
properly

Having defined items we want to distribute, we now have to
define our site as a "channel." You'll use the same tags as with the items:
title, description and link. However, this time the information will be about
your entire site, rather than a particular page. That means our channel
information would look like this:

All
Gadgets Reviewed

If it's a gadget, we review it. Learn what gadgets are hot and
what's not!

http://allgadgetsreviewed.com

Now, how does something reading our RSS file know that
the information above is for our "channel" when it looks just like item
information? Simple. As long as we don't surround this information with an
opening and closing
tags, it won't be seen as item information but rather
as channel information. That gives us this:

All
Gadgets Reviewed

If it's a gadget, we review it. Learn what gadgets are hot and
what's not!

http://allgadgetsreviewed.com

Nokia 3650 Combines Phone And Photos

I've been playing with the new Nokia 3650. Finally, someone has got
the combination of a cell phone with digital camera capabilities
right!

Sanyo Tablet PC Amazes!

I was dubious about the new Tablet PCs, but then I saw the latest
from Sanyo. Wow, cool looks and it works!

Canon MegaTiny Digital Camera Too Small

OK, there is a limit to just how small is too small. Canon's
MetaTiny, no larger than a quarter, simply is too little to use
properly

There are a few last things we need to do. First, we need to
add a tag at the very top of the file saying that this is written according to
the XML 1.0 specifications. Right under this, we also have to say what RSS
version we are using.

So far, everything we've done is compatible with UserLand's popular RSS 0.91 version. However, it also matches UserLand's latest
RSS 2.0
version, as well, so we'll define the file as meeting that specification. This
will allow us to add other neat features in the future, if we want.

Finally,
after the RSS tag, we need to add an opening "channel" tag. That gives us this
at the top of the file:

At the bottom of the file, after all the items we want to
syndicate, we have to insert a closing channel and RSS tag, in that order. Those
look like this:

This means our complete file looks like this:

Mind Blowing
Options
Everything shown above is the bare basics you need to
create a file and start syndicating content from your web site. However, there
are additional things you could do.

For example, rather than your entire
web site being a "channel," you could actually have different content from
within the web site be defined into separate channels. That's something I'm not
going to explore in this article, but some of the resources below will guide you
through this, when you feel more comfortable.

As hinted at, RSS 2.0 allows you to insert all types of
additional information into your feed. It can make your head spin to look at
these and decide what to use. The easy answer is, don't bother with anything you
don't know. Not every aggregator supports all the options offered. As long as
you provide the minimum information suggested above, you should be fine.

Did I Choose The
Right RSS Version?
Earlier, I'd mentioned there are different versions of RSS.
Even though we entered the bare minimum of information, it turned out that we
were able to have a file that was easily considered to be RSS 2.0, the latest version promoted by UserLand
and which is widely used.

Indeed, the Syndic8 site
reports that the most
popular format of RSS by far is RSS 0.91 -- and though we've used RSS 2.0, our
file as shown is entirely compatible with RSS 0.91. In short, we're in safe
company.

What about that RSS 1.0 version that I said was
complicated. Well, it is complicated. However, some people might want to make
use of some of the special capabilities that it offers. If you are interested in
it, then check out the official
specification.

Saving The File
Now that we're done adding to the file, we need to save
it. But what name shall we give it? I've looked and not seen any guidance on
this. I imagine that's because as long as the file is valid (more below), it
probably doesn't matter what it's called.

To make my own decision for Search Engine Watch, I decided
to imitate what I saw out at UserLand, which promotes the RSS 2.0 standard that
we used. UserLand's example feeds all ended .xml, so let's do the same. As for
the first part, that really can be whatever you like. For our example, let's say
we just call it feed.xml.

Now that our file is saved, we can place it anywhere we
want on our web server. Let's say we put it in the root or home directory. Then
the address to our RSS file would be:

http://allgadgetsreviewed.com/feed.xml

Validating The
File
Now our RSS file is done, but did we do it right? To find
out, we need to validate it. Use the aptly named
Feed Validator service. Simply enter the address to your RSS file, and you'll
be told if everything is OK -- or if there's something wrong you need to fix.

How about a quick preview of how your new feed actually
looks? Then pay a visit to
Wytheville Community
College News Center. Again, enter your feed URL, and you'll see the
clickable headlines and story descriptions nicely assembled inside a box.

The service will also generate a JavaScript code that you
can post on your site. Anyone copying the JavaScript can automatically have your
feed syndicated into their pages -- pretty neat!

Get Syndicated!
Now that your file is validated, you want the world to
know about it! To make this happen, visit the RSS directories and search engines
listed in the RSS: Your Gateway To News & Blog Content article. They generally offer submission
pages, where you can inform them of your feed.

You also want to make sure people who come to your web
site see that you provide a feed. It's very common to post a link to the feed
somewhere on the home page of a web site. If you have a dedicated news
page, you may want to put it there, as well.

You can link to your feed with an ordinary HTML link.
However, many sites use a small orange XML icon to link to the feed. I've also seen
some sites use blue RSS icon. I could find no standard about using these. So, to be safe, I did all three with Search Engine
Watch. Look on the home page, and
you'll see how it's done (and help yourself to the icons, if you need them).

Finally, it's good to "ping" one of the major services
that track when web logs and RSS content changes. By doing this, you ensure that
other sites that monitor these know to check back at your site for more content.

Weblogs.com is one
of these major sites. Enter your site's name and the URL of your feed into the
manual Ping-Site Form, and
it will know you've updated your feed. The
Specs page explains how to
set up automatic notification.

blo.gs is another major
change monitoring site. It is supposed to receive any changes that come from
Weblogs.com, so you shouldn't need to notify it separately. However, if you want
to be on the safe side, it's easily done. Use the
ping form, which also explains how to set
up automatic pinging, as well.

Tutorials &
Resources

RSS Headline
Creator allows you to skip coding and manually choose the number of headlines you'd
like to include in your file, up to the 15 maximum allowed. Then a form with
boxes that you fill out will be made. Enter the right information, then push the
"Make The Code" button. Your RSS file's code will be generated, for you to copy
and paste into a text editor and save.

How To Use HTML Meta Tags - Article from Search Engine Watch

Want to get a top ranking in search engines? No problem! All you need to do is add a few magical "meta tags" to your web pages, and you'll
skyrocket to the top of the listings.

If only it were so easy. Let's make it clear:

Meta tags are not a magic solution.
Meta tags are not a magic solution.
Meta tags are not a magic solution.

Meta tags have never been a guaranteed way to gain a top ranking on crawler-based search engines. Today, the most valuable feature they offer the
web site owner is the ability to control to some degree how their web pages are described by some search engines. They also offer the ability to prevent pages from being
indexed at all. This page explores these and other meta tag-related features in more depth.

Meta Tag Overview
What are meta tags? They are information inserted into the "head" area of your web pages. Other than the title tag (explained
below), information in the head area of your web pages is not seen by those viewing your pages in browsers. Instead, meta information in this area is used to communicate
information that a human visitor may not be concerned with. Meta tags, for example, can tell a browser what "character set" to use or whether a web page has self-rated
itself in terms of adult content.

Let's see two common types of meta tags, then we'll discuss exactly how they are used in more depth:

In the example above, you can see the beginning of the page's "head" area as noted by the HEAD tag -- it ends at the portion shown as /HEAD.

Meta tags go in between the "opening" and "closing" HEAD tags. Shown in the example is a TITLE tag, then a META DESCRIPTION tag, then a META
KEYWORDS tag. Let's talk about what these do.

The Title Tag
The HTML title tag isn't really a meta tag, but it's worth discussing in relation to them. Whatever text you place in the title tag (between the
TITLE and /TITLE portions as shown in the example) will appear in the reverse bar of someone's browser when they view the web page. For instance, within the title tag of
this page that you are reading is this text:

How To Use HTML Meta Tags

If you look at the reverse bar in your browser, then you should see that text being used, similar to this:

Some browsers also supplement whatever you put in the title tag by adding their own name, as you can see Microsoft's Internet Explorer doing in the
picture above.

The title tag is also used as the words to describe your page when someone adds it to their "Favorites" or "Bookmarks" lists. For instance, if you
added this page to your Favorites in Internet Explorer, it would show up like this:

How did that little Search Engine Watch logo also show up? Everyone always asks. The article below provides more help:

Creating Your Own Favicon.ico Icon For IE5

Web Developer's Journal, March 7, 2000

http://www.webdevelopersjournal.com/articles/favicon.html

But what about search engines! The title tag is crucial for them. The text you use in the title tag is one of the most important factors in how a
search engine may decide to rank your web page (see the Search Engine Placement Tips section for more details). In addition,
all major crawlers will use the text of your title tag as the text they use for the title of your page in your listings.

For example, this is how Teoma lists the page you are reading:

You can see that the text "How To Use HTML Meta Tags" is used as the hyperlinked title of this page's listed in Teoma's results.

In review, think about the key terms you'd like your page to be found for in crawler-based search engines, then incorporate those terms into your
title tag in a short, descriptive fashion. That text will then be used as your title in crawler-based search engines, as well as the title in bookmarks and in browser
reverse bars.

The Meta Description Tag
The meta description tag allows you to influence the description of your page in the crawlers that support the tag (these are listed on the
Search Engine Features page).

Look back at the example of a meta tag. See the first meta tag shown, the one that says "name=description"? That's the
meta description tag. The text you want to be shown as your description goes between the quotation marks after the "content=" portion of the tag (generally, 200 to 250
characters may be indexed, though only a smaller portion of this amount may be displayed).

For this page you are reading, I would like it described in a search engine's listings like this:

This tutorial explains how to use HTML meta tags, with links

to
meta tag generators and builders. From SearchEngineWatch.com,

a guide to search engine submission and registration.

Will this happen? Not with every search engine. For example, Google ignores the meta description tag and instead will automatically generate its
own description for this page. Others may support it partially. For instance, let's see again how this page is listed in Teoma:

You can see that the first portion of the page's description comes from the meta description tag, then there's an ellipse (.), and the remaining
portion is drawn from the body copy of the page itself.

In review, it is worthwhile to use the meta description tag for your pages, because it gives you some degree of control with various crawlers. An
easy way to do this often is to take the first sentence or two of body copy from your web page and use that for the meta description content.

The Meta Keywords Tag
The meta keywords tag allows you to provide additional text for crawler-based search engines to index along with your body copy. How does this help
you? Well, for most major crawlers, it doesn't. That's because most crawlers now ignore the tag. The few supporting it can be found on the
Search Engine Features page).

The meta keywords tag is sometimes useful as a way to reinforce the terms you think a page is important for ON THE FEW CRAWLERS THAT SUPPORT
IT. For instance, if you had a page about stamp collecting -- AND you say the words stamp collecting at various places in your body copy -- then mentioning the words
"stamp collecting" in the meta keywords tag MIGHT help boost your page a bit higher for those words.

Remember, if you don't use the words "stamp collecting" on the page at all, then just adding them to the meta keywords tag is extremely unlikely to
help the page do well for the term. The text in the meta keywords tag, FOR THE FEW CRAWLERS THAT SUPPORT IT, works in conjunction with the text in your body copy.

The meta keyword tag is also sometimes useful as a way to help your page come up for synonyms or unusual words that don't appear on the page
itself. For instance, let's say you had a page all about the "Penny Black" stamp. You never actually say the word "collecting" on this page. By having the word in your
meta keywords tag, then you may help increase the odds of coming up if someone searched for "penny black stamp collecting." Of course you would greater increase the odds
if you just used the word "collecting" in the body copy of the page itself.

Here's another example. Let's say you have a page about horseback riding, and you've written your page using "horseback" as a single word. You
realize that some people may instead search for "horse back riding," with "horse back" in their searches being two separate words. If you listed these words separately
in your meta keywords tag, THEN MAYBE FOR THE FEW CRAWLERS THAT SUPPORT IT, your page might rank better for "horse back" riding. Sadly, the best way to ensure this would
be to write your pages using both "horseback riding" and "horse back riding" in the text -- or perhaps on some of your pages, use the single word version and on others,
the two word version.

I'm using all these capital letters on purpose. Far too many people new to search engine optimization obsess with the meta keywords tag. FEW
crawlers support it. For those that do, it MIGHT! MAYBE! PERHAPS! POSSIBLY! BUT WITH NO GUARANTEE! help improve the ranking of your page. It also may very well do
nothing for your page at all. In fact, repeat a particular word too often in a meta keywords tag and you could actually harm your page's chances of ranking well. Because
of this, I strongly suggest that those new to search engine optimization not even worry about the tag at all.

Even those who are experienced in search engine optimization may decide it is no longer worth using the tags. Search Engine Watch doesn't. Any meta
keywords tags you find in the site were written in the past, when the keywords tag was more important. There's no harm in leaving up existing tags you may have written,
but going forward, writing new tags probably isn't worth the trouble. The articles below explores this in more detail:

Death Of A Meta Tag

The Search Engine Report, Oct. 1, 2002

Meta Tags Revisited

The Search Engine Report, Dec. 5, 2002

Still want to use the meta keywords tag? OK. Look back at the opening example. See the second meta tag shown, the one that
says "name=keywords"? That's the meta keywords tag. The keywords you want associated with your page go between the quotation marks after the "content=" portion of the
tag.

Inktomi says that you should include up to 25 words or phrases, with each word or phrase separated by commas. More advice from Inktomi can be found
on its Content Policy FAQ.

FYI, in the past, when the tag was supported by other search engines, they generally indexed up to 1,000 characters of text and commas were not
required.

Meta Robots Tag
One other meta tag worth mentioning is the robots tag. This lets you specify that a particular page should NOT be indexed by a search engine. To keep spiders out,
simply add this text between your head tags on each page you don't want indexed. The format is shown below (click on the picture if you want to copy and past the HTML
for your own use):

You do NOT need to use variations of the meta robots tag to help your pages get indexed. They are unnecessary. By default, a crawler will try to
index all your web pages and will try to follow links from one page to another.

Most major search engines support the meta robots tag. However, the robots.txt convention of blocking indexing is more efficient, as you don't need to add tags to each and every page. See the
Search Engines
Features page for more about the robots.txt file. If you use do a robots.txt file to block
indexing, there is no need to also use meta robots tags.

The meta robots tag also has some extensions offered by particular search engines to prevent indexing of multimedia content. The article below
talks about this in more depth and provides some links to help files. Search Engine Watch members should follow the link from the article to the members-only edition for
extended help on the subject.

Image Search Faces Renewed Legal Challenge

The Search Engine Report, August 22, 2001

Other Meta Tags
There are many other meta tags that exist beyond those explored in this article. For example, if you were to view the source code of this web page,
you would find "author," "channel" and "date" meta tags. These mean nothing to web-wide crawlers such as Google. They are specifically for an internal search engine used
by Search Engine Watch to index its own content.

There are also "Dublin Core" meta tags. The intent is that these can be used for both "internal" search engines and web-wide ones. However, no
major web-wide search engine supports these tags. More about them can be found below:

Dublin Core Metadata Initiative

Dublin Core - Tagging the Web for better search and retrieval

WebReference.com, Nov. 5, 2000

How about the meta revisit tag? This tag is not recognized by the major search engines as a method of telling them how often to
automatically return. They have never supported it.

In Conclusion
Overall, just remember this. Of all the meta tags you may see out there:

Meta Robots: This tag enjoys full support, but you only need it if you DO NOT want your pages indexed.
Meta Description: This tag enjoys much support, and it is well worth using.
Meta Keywords: This tag is only supported by some major crawlers and probably isn't worth the time to implement.
Meta Everything Else: Any other meta tag you see is ignored by the major crawlers, though they may be used by specialized
search engines.

How To Turn Bad Credit Into Good Credit

When you are fresh out of high school and entering college for the first time, it is very easy to make poor financial choices. Once you get enrolled in college, credit card offers almost seem to fall out of the sky. It is easy to think that you could get a card just for emergencies or use your card to squeeze through until the next payday.

Soon, you find yourself struggling to figure out how you are going to pay your bills and your credit card payments. At first you struggle, and soon, unless you take actions to fully resolve your financial mess, you find yourself in a position of being completely helpless to address your financial affairs in a positive way.

College is a tough time for young adults trying to strike it out on their own. The credit opportunities are great, and the temptations to slip into unintended financial ruin are dangling in front of them daily.

The numbers of college students and graduates who have to knock on mom and dad's door for a financial bail out are staggering. What happens when mom and dad cannot or will not help their son or daughter with a financial bail out?

If the financial pressure crushes the student in advance of getting their degree, the student might feel that dropping out of college to pay their bills is their only choice. Once they are out of school, returning to school to finish their degree is a bigger challenge than they had imagined, and many never return to finish their studies.

Other students are able to limp through to the end of school, and instead of leaving school facing a bright new world, they are leaving school facing the pressures of student loans, a heavy debt load, and frequently, a ruined credit history.

The road back to good credit is a long and hard road. But, with a good strategy, a determination to succeed, and a lot of self-discipline, there is good reason to have hope for the future.

Building Good Credit Starts With...

Paying Your Bills On Time.

Yes, the electric company will do a credit check on you before turning on your lights. But, they will not refuse to turn on your lights simply because you have bad credit. Instead, the light company uses your credit to determine how much of a deposit you should pay to get your lights turned on.

Few people realize the importance of paying bills on time. When you are trying to establish good credit, if you can pay all of your bills on time for six months, then you will have a leg to stand on when showing creditors that you can be trusted with their money.

Starting Small With Small Loans.

Payday loans are a good starting point on the road to building good credit. When you have no credit or bad credit, you need to find someone who is willing to trust you for small amounts of money over a shorter time period.

With a payday loan, all that is usually required of you is proof of employment, a checking account, and a commitment to pay back the money on your next paycheck. The commitment is usually handled with a post-dated check written for the amount of money being borrowed plus the payday loan fee.

In these days of internet availability of services, the entire process can be handled through electronic transactions where money is deposited into your checking account electronically and the payment amount is electronically debited from your checking account on the specified day.

Payday loans are one option for building a credit history with really short-term loans in the range of two-weeks to one-month. Another option is the smaller finance companies that will loan you a couple hundred dollars to be paid back over four- or five- monthly installments.

Gas Cards and Retail Credit.

Once you have some established credit, gas cards and retail credit cards are fairly easy to acquire. Most retailers see these retail credit cards as a method to get you to shop in their stores more often, so they are keen to get their credit cards in your hands.

Once they are certain that you are someone who actually pays their bills, they are willing to extend their store credit to you to get you to spend more money with them.

Small Bank Loans

This is a technique that few people are aware of. For a small interest fee, you can establish yourself as a top-flight credit consumer.

You can go to your local bank and borrow say $500. Instead of running out to spend that money, deposit it into a savings account at another bank. When each monthly installment comes due, go to the second bank and withdraw the money to make the payment at the first bank. At the end of paying your first loan, borrow a little bit more money from the same bank. Then repeat your previous experience.

An expansion on this principle is to take the $750 you get from the first bank on the second loan and then deposit this money in the second bank as usual. Then go to the loan department of the second bank and ask for a loan from their bank. If they hesitate, tell them that you want to get a secured loan using the money you have in your savings account at their bank. Once you have this money in hand from the second bank, deposit it into a savings account at a third bank.

This principle can literally be looped through several banks simultaneously, allowing you to build good credit with several banks at the same time. The beauty of the idea is that you are using one bank's money to establish credit at another bank, utilizing as many banks as you might feel comfortable using.

There really are no limits to how far you can take this concept, except for two things. One, you need to be sure that you can actually pay the interest accrued on all of the loans you take out. And two, you need to make sure that you can make all of your payments on time, every time.

With each pass, you can take the loan amounts to the next level. Using this method, you can actually work yourself to the point where you could literally walk into any establishment, and based on your own credit history be able to take a huge loan on your signature only.

Short-Term Solutions In Long-Range Planning

When you are re-establishing credit or establishing credit for the first time, you may find that on occasion you may not be able to pay a bill on time. Say for example that your loan is due to be paid on Wednesday and your paycheck will not arrive until Friday. Of course, you will need to weigh the pros and cons of each individual transaction, but when you are trying to get established, now is not really the time to pay any payments late. A late payment will usually set you back as much as six months.

Rather than risking a late payment, often it makes more sense to pay a small fee to a no credit check payday loan company so that you can make your payment on time. It should be noted that bad credit payday loans should never be treated as a solution in itself to any financial problems. Bad credit payday loans are a temporary solution to temporary cash flow problems. But, when you weigh a six-month setback in building your credit to paying a few more dollars for a no credit check payday loan, the payday loan fee is money well spent.

Recovering Credit After a Rough Start

Restoring your credit is not as hard as you may have thought it would be. A good strategy, a determination to succeed, and the self-discipline to see your plans through to fruition will help you to establish or re-establish good credit.

The day that you walk into the new car dealership and drive out with the car of your desires with only your signature as collateral, or the day that you go to the bank to sign the paperwork on your new home purchase, you will know that all of the hard work you have done to get to this point was worth it to you.

Cheap Sollutions For Internet Using T1 Line

Dedicated Voice Services consist of local, long distance like interstate, intrastate and international and toll free services. The cost of these services varies depending on where you are calling and your carrier. Dedicated Broadband Internet Access provides 1.544 Mbps capacity for both uploading and downloading from the Internet. Average costs in a metro area are around $500, with one-time charges ranging from $500-1,000 contingent upon the work required and equipment needed.

The cost for integrated service varies with capacity, features and services. This is a great option for typical companies with five to twenty employees. One of the main differences between a T1 line and DSL is the cost. While DSL is not as fast or reliable as a T1 circuit, it is substantially less expensive. The cost of DSL services has gone down due to deregulation, competition and the decreasing costs of equipment and supplying bandwidth, while T1 lines remain in the higher price range because of the robust technology they utilize.

Usually, DSL costs around $120/month for low-end service and up to $500/month for faster service. A T1 line can cost between $1,000-1,500/month depending on who provides it and the customer's location.
